What are the advantages of being promoted within the crew?

I was wondering that too. My little icon says I am level 70-something in the crew but when I look at us in the social club the only rankings I see are the hierarchy.

Well, if you mean hierarchy, you can do things like promote/demote, post on the Social Club wall, edit the crews colors and motto, invite people, kick people. Nothing in-game so far as I know yet. As to ranking up in the crew, like where you're ranked from 1-300 or however many members we have at this moment, is more or less just bragging rights, I'm assuming. I'm not really sure Rockstar has totally fleshed out the whole crew system yet. I have a feeling they'll be adding plenty of features, especially some more stuff that we can do in-game. My thinking is that when heists come, there will be more planning options available to higher ranking crew members, but that's just a guess.

I just got this message from the RockStar Social Club.

I have no idea why I just got this, because it doesn't seem new to me at all. To me, it seems like that's what it always did. Weird.
But back to the subject at hand, I do think Rockstar is still working on it, because I've been seeing this.
"Stay tuned for Overall Crew rankings in Grand Theft Auto Online."
So my guess is there is more to come.

How do you see what your personal rank in the crew is? I can't seem to locate that. Good question. I've been trying to find the answer, but can't seem to find it. This was all I could find. Members of a Crew also receive special cosmetic bonuses. Level 1 - Crew emblem & and color on clothes Level 10 - Able to set crew emblem decal on cars Level 20 - Unlock black pig mask Level 28 - Unlock bone skull mask Level 30 - Being able to set parachute smoke to crew color Level 35 - Being able to set tire smoke from cars to crew color Level 36 - Unlock white carnival mask Level 44 - Unlock white monster mask Experienced Crews will also be able to set up Crew challenges, though some players are reporting difficulty with this function. |
