I wan't to introduce raffles with rewards and prizes such as in game money AND DLC content.
now obviously.. in order for me to get your guys DLC content I would need some funds..so this is what I thought..
The entry would be either or $10 PSN code or $10 in pay pal.. in the beginning we will choose 1 winner.. and as we progress, many more will contribute in the raffle.. so that means more funds, and more funds means more prizes.
and this is how the entry will work..
Each $10 will give u one number.. and we will choose a number at random… so lets say
one person gave me $10.. i'll give him a number 1. the next guy gives me $20, and i give him number 2 and 3, someone gives me $50, and they get 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. for each $10 you get one spot in the raffle.
obviously not EVERYONE will be a winner.. it will be like a lottery.. and before every lottery I will let you know the prizes..and if I get enough people to participate for that raffle.. we'll do it..
this will be the process..
one random day I will post a thread called RAFFLE with that day's date. I will explain what the raffle is about, what prize I'm thinking.. and people would post if they will participate.. If i see that enough people are participating.. i will go out and buy the prize.. and will inform you.. from there on.. the entry will be open for three or two days.. with each entry.. will give you a number.. at the end of three days.. i will post each number with the respective name in from of it.. and we will choose a random number from like a bingo ball cage or something.. the winner will be notified publicly and the prize which usually either will be a DLC code or a PSN Dollars, will be sent to your Private message.
Let me know how do you like the idea..

This can be a good idea, though I'm not sure if I'll be able to enter into it often, if at all, due to lack of funds. But, it's still a good idea.

I like the idea of raffles. They can be fun, though $10 might be a bit pricey for some. But I guess it would depend on how frequently draws are held and how often a person would want to participate. But I would definitley like to have some kind of raffle.

Rather interesting idea, though not really sure as to how often I'd be able to take part in it and such.

As Jack said, it is a good idea, but not sure how many people will be able to contribute. Also, how would it work if only say 5 of us pitched in $10 each? Would only those 5 people be eligible? I personally would be okay with contributing $10, but allow everyone in the crew a chance to win. I don't have a lot of funds, but I don't mind contributing $10, and maybe have someone else in our crew who is also low on funds, so would be unable to participate, the chance to win. Maybe if 5 of us pitched in $10 each, we could get a $50 PSN card and give it away to either a random crew member or random forum member or Facebook group member.

An idea I just want to throw out with regard to raffle prizes that would not cost any money is offer the services of a high ranking crew member to assist with ranking up and attaining in game money. The prize would be, say, an opportunity for one lower ranked or less skilled crew member to do a Survivor mission or two with three highly skilled players and BOOM you got the guy $40k and a shit load of pointers, tips, and unlockables. The same could be done with racing and missions. This could be done on a rotation mixed in with the actual money prizes. Something for the competent and the green.

I know I could use some tips, especially for survival missions. And while I'm definitely not a student, I am on a fixed income from my medical disability, but I'd still be willing to chip in $10 or even $20 a couple of times to get this party started.

currently it is a GTA V Collectors Edition DLC.. now think about it.. for the winner.. the DLC content will be costing a mere $10. which is not bad at all.
we can have $50 PSN cards, we can have future GTA V DLC, sometime we will have a free raffle where commissioners and I would get in a lobby with a person and play the game.. help him with survival like jack said, other expensive missions, and at the end.. we would all give that person a good luck in game money gift.. should be fun. ANDDDDD.. if more people contribute.. we can even do physical stuff such as a Gaming Headset, or a game of their choice, or even replicas of in game/movie weapons, and awesome things.. Upon announcement the winner will get a tracking number where they can track their prize. i bet NO other crew is doing it, hell i bet they didn't even think about it.
The paid raffle can be once a month, and the free raffle can be twice a month. I wont enter my name in the raffle ever.. because i have a feeling that ifffff i win, people might think that it was a setup.. n i don't want my members to feel cheated or anything EVER. so i will never include myself in the raffle. and it will be fair if only those who paid win the raffle.. it doesn't make sense other people winning the raffle even if they never paid for it.

I think this all sounds great. Count me in. I do think you should be able to participate in the raffles. If people feel like it is an elaborate scam then remind them the prize is modest.

My only concern with not including everyone is that there are going to be some who absolutely can't afford to enter so will possibly feel left out and rage quit the crew, and that could possibly include a few of the more regular members. I'm not saying include everyone in a draw for a $50 PSN card or headset, but maybe include them in the smaller raffles, maybe for $10 PSN card or something similar. Hell, even one of the in-game currency purchases could be a good prize. And I think we need to get Mario a headset ASAP I also won't want to be in on the prizes, but I will contribute what I can when I can.

My feelings on it are pretty much on par with RBT, so saying the same thing would be pretty redundant.

fine.. but we can only afford gifts for EVERYONE.. if we have enough funds.. if we do have enough funds.. we can have 1 grand prize, and like 3-5 small prizes.

Base it on how much people give on a raffle. Like if you get xx amount of money, and the prize is yy amount. Do like xx - yy = zz, where you keep zz for the next round and so forth, if you get enough left after so many, hold a small one for free or something like that.

fine.. but we can only afford gifts for EVERYONE.. if we have enough funds.. if we do have enough funds.. we can have 1 grand prize, and like 3-5 small prizes. I'm not saying gifts for everyone. I'm just saying that for at least one, maybe two giveaways, we try to include, if not everyone, as close to everyone as possible, but maybe only have the prize be a $10 or $20 PSN card or something, and for the bigger prizes we only include those who are able to enter, or if there are some who absolutely cannot afford to put any money down, we can let them enter on a participation basis, as in the more active they are in the crew either in these forums, IGN or other forums, or the Facebook group, they can earn entries somehow. Because I know not all of us have money, myself included, and I also know what it could end up feeling like if we don't try to include AT LEAST the most active members of the crew. And I'm not calling these people out specifically due to any thoughts about financial situations, but someone say like Mario or even Snooze(on Facebook), lets say they weren't able to contribute any cash to the pot, but seeings how they are so active in the crew and have been very helpful and have participated, it can't hurt to include them in the grand prize draws as well. Again, to those two specific examples, I only used your names because that's all I could think of right now, not for any other reasons Hell, I'm probably one of the most financially strapped members of our crew, but I still want to chip something in because this is such an awesome group of people, that I don't mind throwing some coffee money into the pot once in awhile. Anyway, to sum it up, we could have smaller draws of say $10 or $20 PSN cards, or even the DLC codes you mentioned lvlann, which could include maybe not ALL of our members, but maybe all of the active members we can find. And then have another raffle or two for a grand prize, say a $50 card or even as you mentioned again, a headset or something, and have as many people chip in as possible, but if there are ACTIVE members, who participate not only in-game but SOCIALLY as well, we could enter those people in the raffle as well, even though they can't throw any cash in. I just think it's a great incentive for a lot of us to become active and stay active socially as well as in-game, and give out some rewards for the loyalty shown by those members. Obviously if we end up getting all 289 of us to join these forums and the Facebook group, then I think we should change this idea, but as of today, if we were to do it this way, we should pick and choose the most active members to include in the draws even if they're unable to put in some cash. Long winded, I know, but I'm drinking again, and once I start typing I generally can't stop.

I like the theory but the practice offers a lot of possibilities for trouble.
Would US DLC codes be valid for UK members?
